The studio.
If you’ve caught any of my Instagram stories the past few weeks you may already know that I’m in the process of setting up a studio space for Key Moments.
I’ve had a lot of questions about the project so I thought I would give the full scoop!
The new studio is an actual home. As a matter of fact, it is where my husband grew up and the best part is it’s 2 minutes from my house. 😊
His mother passed away in 2015 and it has been sitting empty since then. We didn’t want to rent it out (he’s way too sentimental) and we didn’t want to sell it (it’s right in the middle of the farm.)
So I pitched him the idea of a studio and office for me in 2017 and he loved it.
So I’ve basically been sitting on go daydreaming about this project since then. 🤣
We finally got the contents cleaned out on May 21, 2019 and I have been working like a mad woman ever since with a goal to get the space operational / host a Grand Opening in September.
The property has a gorgeous yard where I have already been taking pictures for years. It required a lot of pruning, trimming, and attention. The house itself had to be pressure washed and all the windows had to be cleaned.
On the inside we’ve painted the whole space, cleaned all the hardwoods and windows, and are working on tiling the entry along with countless other projects big and small.
There is one large shooting space (the living room with gorgeous bay windows,) a boudoir space, my office (pictured here,) a playroom for the babies, laundry, kitchen, 2 baths, and a waiting room (the front room.)
I love a dramatic before and after (THIS PROJECT 💯) and I’ve had the most fun working on it. I’ve been trying to take pictures and videos as I go and hope to put together a VLOG as soon as it’s all completed.
